In my previous blog titled "Real Love", I mentioned that next I'll be going to the aquarium, followed by a voyage on the big wheel to end the birthday month celebrations. On the last day of May, Saturday the 31st, I went to the aquarium for the first time and was gifted entry for the day. It is a wonderful activity for the whole family, and the kids tend to have the most fun getting acquainted with what the ocean encompasses. The vibrant colours and the serene movements of the sea creatures captivated me instantly. I marvelled at the diversity of life beneath the waves and felt a renewed sense of wonder, reminding me that there are countless experiences waiting to be discovered.

I realised that where water flows, life truly blossoms as I admired all sorts of sea creatures, big and small, and was most enthused by the jellyfish, stingrays and penguins. I watched in awe as they gracefully glided through the water, their playful antics bringing a smile to my face. Each encounter felt like a reminder of the intricate connections we have with nature, urging me to absorb all I could in the hour that I was there.

Afterwards, I met a friend at the Big Wheel for a ride. As we ascended, the view of the city skyline took our breath away.

Cape Town is a pretty place, I thought, and when elevated, I had the ocean to one side and Table Mountain to the other with the Waterfront beneath.

Regardless of where I looked, beauty was in abundance. We chatted and laughed, relishing the moment as we enjoyed the gentle sway of the ride high above.

Next we needed to eat and headed to the Time Out Market, which is home to an assortment of restaurants. I indulged in a delicious aubergine curry with sambles and roti followed by vegan ice cream from my favourite, Unframed.

This was a lovely day that was well spent, filled with two new back-to-back experiences that were easily accessible and entertaining. A great reminder to continue to follow my bliss and consciously say yes to vivid ventures.
